Default Fat Front tire on a 92 Classic?

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum so if this topic has been covered I apologize.
I have a 92 Classic and I want to know how wide a tire and rim will
fit without major mods.
I have no problem modifying the fender i just don't want to modify the forks.
Maybe someone knows of an existing kit for this.
Thanks

The stock Dunlop D402 MT90B16 tire is 5.20" wide mounted on the stock 3" wide rim.

I'd recomend you measure how much clearance you have between the tire and the fender mount on the forks and use that measurement to base your wider tire on. If you search the touring forum, a member just posted a wide front tire conversion on a roadglide, believe he used a 180 wide rear tire , he did have to shave the forks to make that wide of a tire work.

Don't know of anyone making a kit, but if you are trying to make the bike handle like crap you are on the right track. JMO

Native baggers makes a kit to go to as wide as 180 on the front. Search the touring section for 180 front tire to see pics and get more info. Looks badass but if I had to guess I'd say it probably hurts the cornering abilities

I'll have to agree with Mark on this one. Looks must never take the place of performance.

Latest issue of American Iron has a bagger with a 180 from wheel. Looks good I think. Better than the pizza cutter front wheel by far. I will post the date of the issue and marketer of this when I get home. FYI article says he did give up any performance and actually rides /handles great at higher speeds.

I don't have link but :American Iron mag, Issue 308 on sale till 4/1/14

Page 89-93 Builder, Native custom baggers. forks are native custom, and the tires are 180 both front and back. Looks sweet imho.

Cheers
