Clutch cover
Hello All; I'm about to do my 1000 mile service, what are the chances i'm going to need a new clutch cover seal? Maybe I should pick one up just incase? Thanks.

You just answered your own question. Better to have it & not need it, than to need it & not have it.

Dickey is right on this one. Inspect it carefully and then you decide. If you use the old one and it leaks, pop the new one on. If you are OCD and are afraid it will leak then put the new one on now.

Almost zero chance , it's an o-ring. At least it is on mine. Heck I have a new outer primary gasket that I bought "incase i need it" I have had the primary off a half a dozen times, still on my original gasket. I have had my clutch cover off at least a dozen times, still on the original o-ring.

Just get it. You can get the whole fluid change "kit" that includes that seal and two o-rings for the plugs for about $4. At least that's how much it was at my dealer.
