Dress shoes and Harley's
Don't mix.
Decided to go home for lunch and ride the bike back to work since the weather was nice. As I was backing the bike out of the parking spot tonight my leather soled dress shoe slipped and down she went.
It would have been easy to wear boots, throw my shoes in the bags, and switch once I got to work but I got lazy.
Luckily the damage was limited to the floorboard mount. I'm really surprised there wasn't more.
Please learn from my dumbass mistake...

Almost dumped the biotch once moving it in the garage with just socks on--foot slipped, but I recovered before it went down.

True, that adrenalin shot that made picking the bike up easy will be tomorrows muscle pain.

I once saw a guy (after what must have been a long ride) . . . when he obviously was in that weird 'zone' and tired, pull a Honda Valkyrie up in a parking lot of a cafe I was at and simply get off and walk away, without putting the kickstand down. Not really sure HOW he did this btw . . . Of course the bike went down with a sickening crunch. When he realized a lot of strangers on bikes saw him do this, he grabbed the Valkyrie up off the ground (NOT an easy task I'm sure) like it was a mini bike (and he was not a big guy). . . adrenaline is a hell of a thing.
