I am planning on buying my first harley, which will be a 48.

I'm going to be buying used. There are two bikes I'm looking at. Both bikes will get an inspection before the finalizing sale. I'm located in Canada btw

#1 $11,500 2012 1500 km with two owners. I get a weird feeling about the bike. There is no warranty work on the bike. No mods. Out of warranty.

#2 $10,000 2011 12750 km with one owner who seems to take great care of bike. Comes with extended warranty till 2017. Vance and Hines Short Shots, Stage 1 with Super Tuner, Windshield, Swing ArmBag, Passenger Pillion Pad, Reach Seat, Sissy Bar with Pad and Stock accessories.. Some of which I would sell.

I'm always interested in lower km I'm not sure about the bike. Any insights thoughts are much appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

So whats the weird feeling? Just because it doesnt have a warranty? Get bike #1. It has no mods for you to deal with and can make it your own. If you like all the mods then get bike #2.

What does this mean? You mean it had no maintenance work done?

I'd go with the first one so you can get your own mods and make sure it is done correctly. Good luck

Why are you using kilometers if you live in the USA?

I'd take #2 for the warranty, mods and price.

I would definitely go with bike two it has been run a little and is one owner with a warranty. The accessories are a bonus if you don't like them then sell them and get some cash back. You can probably negotiate the price down. The first bike has two owners already and neither of them put any miles on it! WHY? Was it sitting at the dealer/repair shop for long periods of time while they try to figure out what's wrong with it? That's is only 932 miles it's barely even broke in.

Any history on why a 2 year old bike with 900 miles on it had two owners?

To me, bike #2 is more appealing. If nothing more for the warranty itself.
