Default Snow Snow Snow!!!

I just got into bikes a year ago. I never really liked winter which is dumb because I live in South Dakota. But now that I have a bike they seem to drag o n even longer. We have had days in the 70s down to 11 last night in the last couple weeks. Gets nice enough just to give ya a tease then its done. Im sure you mid westerners know what im talking about as well as plenty of other people. Atleast by the time summer roles around should have my 21 front on. What do you guys do to pass the time and what big projects have you taken up this last winter?

I bought my first Harley last spring. Had I bought a snowblower, I would be watching all the bikes riding past the house, Instead, my bike sits in the garage, as I watch all my neighbors run their snowblowers. Michigan is now above the Artic Circle, but I never got the email. Go figure

Have lived through a lot of Maine winters when young and first married used to start going nuts after the holidays wanting to ride, that always sucked. For many years now always plan to have projects to keep me going all winter.
Built my last 4 Harley motorcycles' a V8 motorcycle engine,3 John Deere tractor restorations, this long winter a Whizzer motorbike resto. Already have plans for next winter.

Sold my big fifth wheel trailer, bought a smaller travel trailer and a Rampage lifft. Loaded the bike up and headed to Florida where I could ride and didn't have to shovel that white stuff. Being retired, I can do that. Course, it looks like I came north too early cause spring sure ain't sprung up here.

We had rain, rain, rain yesterday. But it is springtime. It's just not supposed to be in the low 50s.

I live in Erie, PA. . .currently the #1 city for snowfall in the US. The last 3 years I had the bike out in February and 2 winters ago I only put it away for a few weeks total. Since I'm originally from CA, this winter has been especially crappy. Still 25 deg out, just waiting for some sort of change in temps.

Winters up North seemed to get longer & longer starting around '86. Tired of freezing my bag off in June.

"So I loaded up my truck & moved to Floridee!!!" Swimming pools; White trash!

I hear you Dickey. . .I think every day since January I've been bitching about the weather. So much that I've been actively looking to move back home to CA this summer or next at the latest.

Up here in NE PA its been especially rough this year we broke the 100 year old record for the most snow in February. We dont have spring and fall here just summer and winter.
