classic Harley Davidson leather jackets??
I have an interest in older discontinued leather jackets, but can't find a list of what jackets Harley released and when they were released. If anyone can help with a chart or a link to show what jackets were available and when that would be great.
Anything would help at this point. All I can come up with is older jackets on ebay. But no info on the time frames on what jackets were released in what years.
Thanks.....

If the sellers on ebay give the jacket part number (or you could ask them what the number is) that will tell you when the jacket was either made or released, not sure which.
I have an FXRG jacket that I bought used on Ebay. The part number for it is 97240-03VM. The 03 tells me it is a 2003 jacket. My Harley Road Dust jacket's part number is 97111-09VM which tells me it is a 2009 (the year I bought it BTW).

I may be wrong but I do not think the older jackets from the 1960s and 70s had that info. Like I say, I might be wrong. I had a Cycle Champ from the 70s that I wish I still had. I have two FXRG jackets with the part numbers like IronAss mentioned. One is from 2005 which is my go-to jacket and the other is from 2001.

thanks, I would love to find an older style panhead jacket, I found 1 on ebay but don't want to spend 695$ on a jacket that I can't try on 1st. I even asked the seller if he would offer a return policy, but he hasn't replied back yet.

Mine was $80 brand new back then and I'd love to still have it. Problem with that model, the older I got, the more it shrunk.
Recently saw one for sale on line for $1,500.00. I believe they were made of Horse hide. Also, a lot of fakes out there. If it didn't have the detachable belt, and kidney protection area, it wasn't a true period Cycle Champ.

I also have the original panhead in an XL, I'm 6'2" and 200 lbs it fits perfect so yep I would say you should go for 2XL. I found mine on ebay last June for 125.00. I still see em listed but in the smaller sizes.
