So no need to dyno with V&H FP3 ?
I want to add V&H Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes and a new air cleaner.
Originally I was told the bike would have to be re tuned on the dyno if I change these.
So if I get an FP3, does the auto tune feature make this not necessary?

No tuner will replace a custom dyno tune. The tuner maps are based on similar setups that will get you close to where you need to be, they may get you 85% of the way. Every bike is different - even if the setup is the same - no two identical bikes will perform the same. A dyno gives the tuning pro the opportunity to evaluate your specific bike's performance and adjust the map accordingly. Well worth the money. A good dyno tune will compliment the FP3 and get you from the 85% the canned map gives you to something closer to 100%.
Edit: Auto-Tune basically allows the FP3 to make small adjustments .. good for things like trying different air intakes and pipes, etc, but still won't replace a good dyno tune.

if squeezing ever last drop of power out of the bike is your goal then you should be looking at something with wideband sensors like a thundermax or the powervision with pro kit.
if almost perfect will work. then the fp3 or powervision is what you want.
and lets not forget that the dyno is only as good as the dyno operator.
