Default Looking for more "room" than Factory Fwd Controls, Any Suggestions??

Hi,

My street bob was just delivered to my house, and controls are fine.

But, I'm just curious....does anyone produce forward controls that give you more room than the factory installed forward controls??

Below is the pic of the controls...

THANKS

define more room.

there are extended forward controls. if you have really long legs.
there are floorboard/miniboard options for more foot positions.

Buy an engine guard and put some footpegs on it. That's what I did.

I believe you can get them up to 3". You may want to check on some of the vender sites here, I'm sure one of them will have some.

I went with the Ness 3" kit on my 02 FXST. My knees aren't up around the tank decals now. Well worth the bucks.

I have an '05 Wide Glide and I love it, but even at 6'0", I still want less "bend" in the knees when seated on longer rides. After a TON of searching, I've finally decided, and ordered yesterday, a set of plates that will extend your forward controls out 3". That doesn't sound like much, but I'm sure it will be enough.

I didn't want to go the engine guard route (not so sexy on a WG in my opinion). Kuryakyn does make a 4" kit that's pushing $400, or you could get other extenders and guy extended pedals, etc., but that's still going to come to around $350+.

The one that I just ordered (below) was $170 and you can keep all of your current items and toss them out an extra 3". Not bad in my opinion.

Good luck!

Dennis Kirk has it here (they're they cheapest from what I could find right now, and free shipping)

(silver plate at the very bottom, and the lower linkage - not bad install from what I understand)

Thanks for all the replies. I just hope those 3" extensions will fit a 2014 street bob. I'll call around to make sure...
