Harley Davidson Suing Urban Outfitters
The Motor Company filed the suit in Wisconsin (think they have a favorable venue?). What they are claiming is that Urban Outfitters took older HD, official, t-shirts removed the tags and labels and replaced them with their own. That was after they modified the shirts by removing the sleeves and necks, shredding the bottom and so on.

I work at a corn processing plant. Many of the Harley riding truckers have the bar and shield logo on their semi's doors, with the name of their trucking firm in the logo bar.

Good. Eff Urban Outfitters...losers.
Look is it wrong for the MoCo to sue, no. They should absolutely sue these a$$h@t pu$$!es...at Urban Outfitters. Has anyone seen the site? I'm pissed they were selling it in the first place! I would never want to be associated with the tools that buy and wear Urban Outfitter gear...
Some here will say something to the affect that the MoCo makes plenty of money and this action is extended greed...whatever. Far from the truth.
What Urban Outfitters did was a act of trademark violation...to the point of re-tagging (price and clothing) the original H-D item for their company's profit, on the back of the MoCo. To include what is called consumer confusion...
Now, does it suck that the local bar owner who decided to use the bar and shield in his bar name/logo, yeah. But hey, he/she should have known better. Can't do that. The bar and shield is trademarked.
The Harley-Davidson name and HARLEY is trademarked; in the motorcycle industry, to include clothing.

Urban Outfitters is clearly selling T-shirts with "Harley Davidson" written on them without permission. Very blatant. I'd be pissed too if someone were making some pretty penny off of my logo/name while cutting me out.
