Anything on the market you could recommend that I could use to buff out? The abrasions are not deep, looks like a scruff mark. Thanks...

Not sure if the material is the same as it was 10 or 20 years ago ,but the older type had a coating of some sort that you could compromise if you polished to long or hard even with proper plastic polish.Then it looks worse than a slight scuff.

 

Let it be. I use the Novus polish on the cars headlight lenses but not on a shield. There is a coating that will delaminate if you try to polish it out hard enough. If its that bad check out long ride shields (sponsor). I had one on my Herritage and loved it, so much better than stock.
