Default Need advise for my old man

He's getting up there in years, he proud Navy, full John Wayne type.. Had a muscle car till the day he hung up the license after a stroke. Well the old man will be getting a Jazzzy/Rascal/whatever get around.. He's adement that its for old people (he's 78) and he wont be caught on one.

In all seriousness, If I sent this out for ghost flames and some HD tank badges, do we think this would be cool or insulting. My sister thinks im an idiot.. lol.. I like the idea..

And he's full on HD lover...

I would like it. No idea if he would. If/when I get to the age that I have to get one of those I would hope my sons would do that for me.

No paint job is gonna change it. How about finding some pictures of younger people riding them?

I doubt that will change his mind. The older you get the more stubborn you become. Hope he comes around. Losing mobility would be tough to deal with.

Screw the rascal, get a old lawn mower and build him one. Then you can really customize it.

I like your idea.

I would not add the HD branding/ decals.

Flames, chrome, etc sure.

It is a gift; old man may accept and use.
Good luck with your decision.

If he loves Harleys like you say he does, I think he'd like it. Besides, it'd make his look different than the rest and give it that "one of a kind" appeal.

Depends on why he doesn't want one. Is it the attention it would draw to him? If so, then making it stand out more is not the way to go. If it's just being a stubborn old man, then maybe it would help.

Default Slimburns, you're right..

I never thought about the aspect of folks looking his way... I actually just spoke to him. He said its giving in to a loss of mobility freedom AND get this, he said the red makes it look ambulatory.. I asked him if he'd like a mild custom.. lol... We're going to shoot it navy blue with shark mouth intakes and a single Navy aircraft star. Im gonna give eastwood a call later on...

Personally I think you need to keep him moving on his own as long as possible.
