Question Sissy Bar Backrests and Passenger size

I gotta question...

I have a short wife ... like 5'6 ... and looking into a sissy bar backrest for my 2011 Sporster Nightster. They come in 11" 14" and 17" . Now I know height comes in handy for larger sissy bar luggage bags ... but afraid if I go for the 17" then it'll be too high for the little lady. Advice would be appreciated. =)

Thank you.

14" or 17" will work for her. Taller the better.

Sissy bar height has nothing to do with luggage capacity. Go with what is comfortable for her.

I agree with you here about comfortable for her.... but we won't know what's comfortable for her until we invest... unless I can find a shop with different sized sissy bars for her to try out.

Just go to your local dealer and sit her on a few.

Nonsense!

Have your wife sit while you hold a book against her back. Measure.
