Heroes on a Harley....
How about some feedback on this........
Young kids on a Harley? I see the disconnect....
Today, there is no;
-Evel Knievel...
-flat-track racing..
-Biker movies...
-Malcom Forbes
-Marlon Brando
-Elvis on a Harley
-Steve McQueen jumping fences... (Triumph, I know..... you get the idea....)
There are no heroes on a Harley..... (****, even the Pope sold his Harley...)
That is my solution:
HEROES ON A HARLEY (MoCo... are you listening..?)

For the Harley crowd, I consider myself a "yound guy" - late 20s. For me, it was Arnold jumping that fatboy in Terminator 2.
As for the impressionable kids about to get their license: probably SOA and what not. I know i would've eaten that up if I were say 14....but then again I grew up around this and always wanted a HD.

Above and beyond your duty to your country, and brothers in arms is what makes you a Hero.
I've served my country in battle, I've backed up my brothers in arms, and put myself in harms way,but I would never consider myself a Hero for doing my duty.
Call us Patriots, but don't call us Heroes, save that term for the true American Heroes.
Sorry this is just my opinion, but I have a great respect to the people who have truly earned that title, and it bugs me to see the word cheapened.

Being a combat vet, I see the term "Hero", used to the point it has lost its true meaning. To me, if you weren't awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, you're just another soldier doing his duty.

Well said. I agree completely and thank you for your service!

I see anyone who defends and protects us, civilian, military of otherwise, that give up their life for that cause or reason...they're heroes to me.
And for those who don't pay the ultimate price, they're to be thanked by the rest, for at least serving in that piticular job. Not everyone will or can.

I tried to allude to that in my 'list' of prior 'heroes' who publicly rode their bikes and enjoyed them for the same reasons as we do/did.
For example: What if 'Jesse' from "Breaking Bad" publicly rode a HD (like what James Dean did for a convertible Porsche)...or, the kid on "American Idol" Caleb; the 'rock and roll front man' ... very, VERY, popular.... WHAT IF HD can find some of the 'heroes' of today's kids that ride a HD then promote it to the 'younger generation'?
--I am asking you if you think that is a 'good' idea... or just an idea someone would get while 'making the morning delivery....'
