Default Passing lamps at night?

This subject came up in another thread and I thought it worthy of its' own discussion. I'd like to hear from others with passing lamps, like on my RK, do you have yours on at night with low beams? I never thought they bothered other drivers so I've left mine on.

I always leave my passing lamps on at night with my low beams. I drive through a lot of corn fields and forests at night and the deer are everywhere. When I don't work over time and the traffic is heavier (12:30 am) I get flashed almost nightly. When I drive home after overtime (2:30 am) I don't get flashed as much.

Incidentally, I changed my clear white passing lights to amber lights and so far, I've only had one A-hole trucker flash me.

Check/adjust your passing lamps to make sure they're not aimed too high.

I have a set of ambers in the garage (somewhere) that I'm thinking of putting them on this season.

Mine are always on. Adjusted correctly, they add to my visibility and safety. Never too much light on the road or attention on bikes.

I keep my Passing lights on all the time, I even run Motolights for a total of five lights up front. I don't care about the legality of it as long as I'm not bothering others on the road.

Tired of reading drivers quotes "I didn't see him" so I've made it easier to see me.

"I didn't see him" is code for "I was not watching what I was supposed to watch (the road)"

I got smacked on my bicycle by a motorist who "didn't see me"- because she didn't turn her head.

I ride with all the lights I can, dim the brights for oncoming traffic but keep the aux lights lit.
Only been on a few night rides but haven't been flashed yet.
