Seeking some suggestions
I went for a 240 mile round trip ride yesterday. During the trip my legs got so "sore, tired, i dont know excatly" that i had to pull over and get off the bike for abit.
I have a 08 Nightster with new seat, handlebars, and windshield. It still has stock shocks, pegs.(forward controls)
Just wondering how or what i could do to help with the leg issue.
New pegs/mini floorboards?
New shocks?
Any advise would be helpful.

How much riding have you done so far this year? What kind of shape are you in? Riding a motorcycle isn't strenuous on leg muscles by any means but if you haven't done any for a bit why wouldn't they get a little sore? Just keep riding, stretch them out when you take a break/gas up and you'll be fine.

First ride and our bodies are not use to it yet again. My legs and knees hurt from my long Friday ride. I'm just getting old don't, know about you.

To me, stopping and getting gas every 200 miles lets me stretch and walk around. It just sitting in one position for such a long time that does it for me. In a car, I can move my legs, my arms and change butt cheeks if I need to. On a bike, there's not that much (if any) movement. Personally, I just deal with it and wait for the next gas stop.

All of us are built different and ride different bikes, so your question is relative to your unique stature/bike combo. Like ^Chick^ said; stop to smell the roses, or gasoline, or take a smoke break.... and just relax a bit. If we stay on long enough, something is going to get cramped....
Different bikes, different times, I used to stand up and lean forward (while riding), or place one or both feet on the passenger pegs in order to 'roll my hips forward', left palm resting on my upper leg allowing for a bit of a stretch, but DO NOT do any of these things with 'cruise' or 'throttle lock' on. If your bike can accommodate foot boards, I would start there.
See ya on the roads ..

Being able to move your feet & legs around to different positions makes a huge difference in riding comfort...add to that, not having to fight the wind or bumps to keep your feet on the pegs.
Check out some of our pegs and how they let have a variety of riding positions.

Thanks for all the input so far. I am going to be looking to get some pegs that have the stirrup/heel rest.
After thinking back on the ride it was the fighting to keep my feet on the little stock peg so i am gonna fix that and see how it all goes.
Plus gonna try and get some more longer rides in to get in better shape.

I second the MX peg set-up - lots of comfort and a myriad of different foot positions to choose from - I have a set on my scoot and just ordered a second set on the passenger pegs
