I have to replace the stator on my 1999 1200c sporty. while I'm in there i was join to do the rotor as well. is there anything else that you recommend I do/replace while in there. Keep in mind, I don't want to tear down the whole friken motor unless I have to.

ok. where in the heck can I buy a stator and rotor only. I don't need the regulator. already got one. everything I find is a kit with a stator,rotor and regulator or they just sell a regulator only.

I think I want one of them enclosed rotors. seems like a good Idea.

fyi: I want quality parts

 

I would check the wear on the primary chain tensioner.
