Default Wearing stereo earbuds on your Harley......

I know some states allow you to use them while riding, but MN doesn't allow it. We are only allowed to wear one earbud.....isn't that great? Anyways, I'm just wondering if anyone has ever been pulled over for illegally using earbuds.

When I'm riding there are too many voices in my head that would drown out the ear buds.

Tried earbuds for a few days when I had the Heritage. I didn't get pulled over, but got the look from law enforcement and he pointed at my ears when stopped at a light. I removed them and that seemed to make him happy.

I wouldn't have kept using them anyway. I tried one side and it screwed me up, I rely on hearing too much when I am in traffic. I also shift on sound. Now that I have a radio, I still don't turn it up very far.

I wear them all the time when riding. Drowns the pipes a bit and lets me hear the music. I have no idea if Ky has any regulations regarding the use of ear buds but I frequently see LEO around town (known most of them for years) and they've never said anything.

Sounds a bit silly to me for the law to make an issue of ear buds. They going to make everybody that drives a car roll their windows down while they drive so they can hear better too? JMHO

I'm from Minnesota, know about the law, choose to wear earbuds some of the time. Never been pulled over for them or anything else.

You're lucky, KY doesn't have any restrictions for earbuds. I just checked the current AMA rules.

I wear them all the time. I have no trouble hearing traffic but I wear a half helmet so outside noise is more discernible anyway. They are good up to 60/65 on rural roads. On busier streets there is so much traffic and background noise I have to crank the volume pretty high.
