What would you prefer? Stock and quiet? Loud and your own look?

Drag pipes just **** people off.

Get a good set of mufflers that will be louder then stock.

Drag pipes are godawful loud, the kind of loud that crackles, not just rumble on a 1200. Mine had them when I got it, put mufflers on it real quick that also used the balance pipe. If you don't have any back pressure, and all you've done is the pipes, you'll lose some low and mid-range performance. Wide open at high rpm it'll do a bit better, but I seldom get there, prefer my torque at the mid range where it spends most of it's time.

On the carbed 95, you'll get popping slowing and shifting and maybe low rpm stumbling if you don't enrich the carb; the factory setting is so lean you'd probably need to go a size up on the low speed jet, and adjust the mixture screw, which has a plug over it you'll have to drill out if it hasn't been done already. The carb can also be enriched by adjusting the needle, way more complicated; I just did the low speed jet and am satisfied with it, runs real smooth. I've had one with stock pipes run better with the jet change. There are a lot of threads here about carb mods and adjustments. You can get slipons with different looks, too.

All drag pipes do is make a lot of noise and ruin the performance. If you want a very loud bike that runs like crap, get the drag pipes. If you want a good running bike forget about them. Strictly a look at me modification.
