So I'm taking the bike to this old Harley shop in Chicago the guy is going to let me work along side of him to install everything. He says he has some computer program that tunes. It's nOt Harley. My bike has sert. Is it possible for him to do this? I really trust his mechanic abilities but he's kind of not 100% convincing on the tune. Thanks for help.

 

He has "some computer program that tunes"? That's all you know about it? That's not much to go on dude.

 

the race tuner allows communication between the ecu and the laptop (computer). after that, its in the hand of who is running nthe numbers going in. the computer does not have the ability to do anything else, unless he is using some kind of canned download. You might want to quiz him a little harder on his ability to do the tune portion. its harder to do without a dyno to actually measure whats going on at speed. good luck!
