Default Baffle wrap question

This is probably a stupid question but I will ask anyway. I received my competition baffle kit from Fuel Moto. There were no instructions so I am not sure if I remove the plastic casing that is around the fiberglass wrap. I would say yes but am looking for a definite answer.

Thanks!

It's a plastic film, about the consistency of clear packing tape. It seems that it is there to hold the fiberglass in place.

It's going to burn off pretty quick, shouldn't be a problem. You will have to re wrap them at some point, use masking tape to hold wrap in place.

According to Jamie at Fuel Moto, you leave the plastic in place. It will melt into the fiberglass material.

Got my Propipe and I removed the baffle for inspection. The packing was tightly wrapped in clear packing tape. I was told the same thing; tape melts and the packing expands. I went for a 2-hr ride Saturday and noticed the bike quieter at the end of the day.
