I've realized that you don't see the broken wing patches anymore. Just an observation. I wonder if newer riders know what they are/mean?

Funny that you should mention this.
I have a pair right beside me her in my desk drawer that I've had for so long ago that I don't even know where or when I bought them, and I hope I never do!

For my birthday last month, I received a "gremlin bell".
First one I ever had.....hope it continues my good luck.

 

Earned mine today. Luckily I walked away relatively ok. Bike is repairable.

I guess I need broken; Sears, Honda and Yamaha wings! Hope I never earn broken HD wings - too old now.

 

Not really a fan. I've always liked the over the head wings emblem.

It's what they represent, not so much an aesthetic thing.

I see them now and then, but they sure aren't common.

One of my brothers sports that patch. He's f'ing lucky to be alive, after taking out a mailbox with his head after hitting a deer on his scoot.

I suppose I could qualify for some, too, but the slight limp and constant pain I have is reminder and badge enough. Lucky I still have my leg. Half a knee cap, and no cartilage in my knee... Didn't crush my spirit, and barely slows me down.

 

They represent a thing for patches. Three bad wrecks over the years,2 with fatalities. Don't need a f--king patch to remind me
