road king custom highway bars
Just got an 06 Road King custom, I am looking to see what others have for their highway pegs. I am 6'3" and I'm not sure if the long horns, or just pegs attached to the bars would be enough. Any input would be helpful. It did come with the switch blades under the footboards, but doesn't seem to be enough for stretching.
Thanks

I'm 6'3" as well and have a set of these on my Road King and Road Glide;
http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...er-footpeg-kit mounted to the engine guards with the chrome version of the billet mounts - Billet Engine Guard Footpeg Mounting Kit-54234-10.
The way I set them up is so I can rest my heel on the floor boards with my toe on the heel rest, move my foot up to the peg or even rest my heel on top of the peg if I really want to stretch out.
I found I didn't have to get the whole articulated mounting setup.
Good luck!

Rivco has a highway peg set-up that works well for me. They are called Engine Guard Highway Peg Mounts and the part number is HD005.
They come with 3/8" holes for the pegs so you'll have to drill the holes out to 1/2" to accommodate HD pegs - easypeasy.
I mounted mine as low as they could go and positioned the pegs so I can rest my heels on the floorboards and toes on the highways, or feet on the highways, or legs on the highways with feet dangling. Pretty comfy plus I've never seen anyone else with this combo. Get's lots of compliments though.

one other to throw out there is the kuryakyn switchblades. Allows multiple positions with foot on, over, or kick open the heel rest and use that. I was not sure I'd like them, but so far so good.

If you're looking for something that will let you stretch right out I dont think you're going to find it.
I'm 6'2" and I took my HD 360's off because I never used them..could never get them comfortable.
