Hotel recommendation near Bourbon Street
I'm organizing a small group to ride from Fort Lauderdale to New Orleans, riding through Tallahassee, Pensacola, Mobile, Baton Rouge and ending up on Bourbon Street.
Has anyone ever spent the night near Bourbon street that could recommend a hotel with secure motorcycle parking?
Yes, I know New Orleans has the highest murder rate in America. It's a town I have to be careful in, which is why I'm looking for as secure parking as I can get.
All I can find are small bed & breakfasts with street side parking.
Any help I can get would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

We always used to stay in the Holiday Inn in Gretna, across the river. They have a shuttle bus that will take you to the ferry landing at Algiers Point and you catch a free ferry across the river to the downtown area where the French Quarter is a short walk. That way no driving or taxi fees. Just don't miss the last shuttle bus coming back at about 12am.
The only drawback is the hotel isn't the most secure so keeping the bike safe will be a pita.

Went last year and stayed at the Hotel Monteleone. Neat old place. Also has the Carousel Bar. Its aln old bar that they redid. Beautiful. It slowly turns are you are sitting there. Not too fast. Rooms were nice. Only thing that I didnt like, and its no big deal really, was that the pool is on the roof. It is kind of small. Amazing view though.

I haven't been back to NO since Katrina , how is the city now ? Far as crime don't look like a potential victim you won't be .

Stayed at the Daphine Orleans several times. One block off Bourbon Street and has their own parking garage that is manned 24/7.

Check with the Hotel Westin canal place.
it is at 600 Canal within walking distance to Bourbon St.
We stayed there a few years back, & it was well worth it.
Have a good trip!
