Internal wiring question
Hello,
I've raced motocross all my life, but am new to wrenching on Harley's. I am in the middle of replacing my bars (can't believe how much dealerships want to charge for this!) with some 10 inch T bars from DemonCycle (heard they are terrible, but I digress...). After a few days of trying to figure out how to get the wires ran through and resoldering, I'm ready to connect the ends to the switch housing. My concern/question is how the hell to get the clutch perch flushly mounted to the switch housing, considering the wire protrudes out of the handlebars around that area. It's as if the clutch perch will smash the wiring before it enters the switch housing. Or, does the wire bundle belong on the outside of the clutch perch, before entering the switch housing? Same deal for the throttle/brake side..
I am doing this on an 07 Nightster.
Thanks in advance.
