Cover at work
Do any of you who ride your bike to work cover it while at work?
I've been riding in and I have a co-worker who keeps saying we would never ride a nice bike in everyday with this Colorado sun because he wouldn't want it sitting out getting a faded seat and the sun hurting the paint.
Wonder your all thoughts on this.

If I take it to work I try to cover it for two reasons:
1. to protect it from the morning dew and the sun (also keeps the seat cool for the ride home)
2. If someone wants to mess with it, it takes a lot more time and more chances of being caught. I leave my helmet and jacket underneath and have never had any issues. (plus there is a 24/7 recording camera watching it)

I don't cover mine either. I carry small towels in case my seat gets wet. As for paint, I don't cover my bike OR my car for fear of fading. Seems odd to me.
I'm wondering how many miles your co-worker puts on his bike.

Nope, but I have garage parking. I would never park something I love in the AZ sun all day, every day though.

Before I retired a had a space in a parking garage for my car or bike. Just me, but I would not cover my bike until it has a chance to cool down.

I ride it to work, only on days where there's a 30% chance or less of rain. And I don't cover it. I only do that at home.
