Default Arai helmets

I'm looking to get a new helmet. I would like to get the corsair V, but I don't know if it would be a good choice for cruisers, since it is mainly used by sportbike riders. Would it be a mistake to get this model for cruising?

I like Arai FF helmets. that is all I will wear for full face. Who cares who wears what. Wear what you like. I wear a half helmet most of the time but when i gets to be cold I get out the Arai.

I'm just debating if it'd bet better to get an Arai helmet with a 3/4 quarter riding position for crusing vs. the corsair v that is more downward before I plunk down the cash.

Why not. Arai makes excellent helmets and is the only helmet manufacturer which makes oval helmets for us egg heads.

Arai probably has a recommendation/helmet designed for an upright/cruising/sport touring style. If it fits and it is a good helmet, get it!

I wear a Shoei RF1200 which is technically more of a sportbike helmet but works great sitting upright. I also use a windshield as well.

The Signet Q full face by Arai is designed for the U.S. long oval melon and is for touring and cafe style. (I can see the speedo and track the road on my Slim wearing mine.)

Few companies, if any, make a better helmet than Arai, both in durability and design. It really is a work of art.

Like you though, I wish they had paint schemes that were a little more cafe racer or cruiser style. And didn't have the huge Arai logo all over them.

Great lids though when it comes to doing their job.

Agreed, Arai makes very good helmets. If I'm not mistaken, the chin guard is noticeably closer to the mouth than the Shoei. I also prefer the Shoei faceshield mechanism due to the quick shield swap-out. Edit: However Arai's shield system looks more integrated into the helmet vs. seeing the mechanical aspect.
