Default Parked bike. Wheel turned to the right

I've seen a lot of old school guys park there old Harley's (pan heads knuckles etc...) with the front wheel turned to right. Rather then the left like you normally see.

Is there a old school folklore to this. Or is it just the stance they prefer.

In staggered parking, at a forty five degree to the curb, it is easier to move the bike on either side into the street.

with a kick start many used their left foot standing on the right side of bike it brought the throttle closer to them?

That makes sense.

Before my current bike I always parked with my wheel turned to the right unless I was locking it for the night. Why? Because I thought the bike looked better that way and it was easier to swing a leg over when I was ready to leave. No rocket science involved.

It seems that the bike favors the wheel to the left as it just feels more secure.

it also takes a lot less effort to lift the bike off the jiffy stand with the wheel turned all the way to the right.

I did it when my front end was really long. Turned to the left, it seemed lean over more.

If you have a decker with a driver backrest its easier to step over the seat when you can lean on the right handgrip.
