Default Lift, but what style?

No this isnt another harbor freight lift thread. Im thinking I need a lift now. I always invisioned getting a table style lift "like the harbor freight model" but after seeing another member talking about his J&S lift, Im reconsidering.. What are the pros and cons to the 2 different styles? Im really like the J&S now after watching a few videos, but I dont want to discount the table styles...

I like my J&S because it leaves the wheels free to turn, and you can turn the entire lift if needed. Another plus is that it takes up a lot less space.

I get by just fine with my harbor freight motorcycle jack and my rolling stool. Small enough to tuck out of the way and I even had my ATV up on it for about a month while I was rebuilding it with no problems.

I prefer the jack over the table.
Pros:
Takes up less room
Makes it easy to clean the wheels
Less expensive
Works great with a rolling stool

I would love to have a lift table and some scissor jacks but I just don't have the room. My J&S is awesome and I love it.

Pros of the J&S:
Very stable
Rolls easy
Stores easy
Operates easy
Customer service is top notch
Made in emerica

Cons:
I haven't had one in the 6 years I owned it.

I can't speak for a lift table never owned one.

Here's with the bike running on it with no straps

Here's when I first got it 6 years ago again no straps

I love my J & S. I've never tried a table lift, so I can't compare. But, I've never said to myself while using the jack, "I wish I had a table lift right now." It's incredibly stable, I've actually climbed on the bike while it was on the jack with no straps and it didn't budge an inch. It's also able to let the bike down very gradually. It won't come down all at once like some cheaper jacks I've used. Not a huge issue, but it gives me peace of mind.

I have the HF yellow jack shown above but always hear from members here that once they bought a table lift they don't know how they did without it and never looked back. Unfortunately that jack does not work on my Ducati Diavel because of its trellis frame. Instead of having two jacks I just purchased a TX-1000 table lift from Derek Weaver. Shipping really hurt but I have been watching Craigslist for 3+ months for a table lift and anything that came up has been ridiculously overpriced or is in really bad condition so I just bought new.

I have not received the table yet but I'm looking forward to setting it up. I'll keep it in one of my garage bays with the ducati parked on it while not in use.

The HF jack has served me well although I had to do the mod to accommodate my Dyna. Wasn't super stable but enough for what I needed at the time.

I have both, and I use my table lift way more than I do my Craftsman bike jack. (so do all my buddies) ;-) good and bad
