Why ?
I know this is a dumb question but it's one of those that you just have to ask
Does anyone know why the U.S RKC passenger foot boards have silver piping on the outside ( when folded in the up position) and international models don't, they just have plain old black plates.
Would it not just be easier to make them all black or all have the silver piping. Is there some US/ international law banning this decoration outside of the US.
Please ponder on this question after your 10th beer before giving any reply.
Thank you...

Yes. There is a law, otherwise known as J24Y97--paragraph 14; extract 12, that states any manufacturer of motorcycle passenger pegs, OR pegs, floorboards,OR floorboards, shall not import out of the country any footboards, pegs, floorboards,OR floorboards etc that have silver piping on the side as to not distract any driver due to reflection from said piping, which can cause death or serious injury.
We send all of those to France.

Because the Septics always downgrade the models they sell here, and then charge us more for them. It's revenge for the British stealing a country from the natives for them. Ungrateful barstewards.
