Default Hill country ride

Jory434, his gal, my wife and I had a quick but great trip Saturday from San Angelo Texas through Junction to Garvin store for a drink stop and Texas famous jerky. From there to the "sisters" and Leaky for a stop at the Broken Wheel for a brew, then on to HillBillyz near Sisterdale. Saw our old friend "Mud" there. Drank a brew with Mud, then it was off to Luckenbach. Saw many bikes and quite a few customs. Nice time there. Left Luckenbach for Kerrville. Ate at Mamacitos there. (Wow!- good food!). Stayed in Kerrville, then took hwy 27 to 39 to 1340 to 41. This is a river road and very scenic. 41 to IH 10 to Junction. Lunch at Lum's ( best BBQ in Junction ), then a windy ride to the casa. Thanks to all the safe riders out there that watch over each other. Catch me later, Lonestar103.

We're going to stay down in Marble falls on Memorial day weekend and do some riding.
Y'all got any pics of the scenery, or suggested routes? I can look at old guys any time I want, just by lookin' in the mirror.

Just kiddin', but I would appreciate some route suggestions.

This is kind of a comprehensive site of some really great roads...

http://www.hillcountrycruising.com/

Also, lots of info in the Road Trips section of the forum on some good hill country riding!

OLDDEADEYE, 281N to Park Rd 4S! Take in the caverns if you have a chance. It's been
years since I've been there, but really pretty. PR4S to Hwy29, east on 29 to 306s to 304. 304 into Llano. (lotsa water!) PS- Coopers BBQ is a good stop and they're biker friendly! Catch me later, Lonestar103

We went to Cranfills Gap yesterday and ate at the Horny Toad and then went to the last suspension bridge in Texas, the Regency Bridge. A good place to eat and hang out...not the bridge, the Horny Toad!
