Default Have you ever had the urge?

I know, a loaded subject. It seems to me that there a lot of cagers I come across almost on a daily basis that appear to challange me. Sometimes even goating me a long. Not sure what a Heritage with a stage one would do against a stock average car? I do have to admit there have been times whereas I felt compelled to grab a handful of throttle and have at it but in the end only common sense prevails.

Common sense is a good thing. We all know a gage is no match for our bikes, so there is no reason to prove it.

Everyday occurrence in traffic here where your best friend is your throttle. I doubt they are trying to goad you but I could be wrong.

Thanks for correcting my grammar. Maybe its all in my head but there are times I honestly feel like I am being goaded, so I don't know...

Years ago I had a kid in a Camero try to get me to race at a stop light. Reving his engine and giving me the eye, I dropped into my racer stance and waited for the light to change. On green he smoked the tires and was gone. I let out the clutch and slowly rolled ahead until the cop that was 3 cars back could swing into my lane. Nailed the kid about 4 blocks down the road.

Yeah, that's always when there's a cop sitting nearby in a hidden driveway, with a ticket book and an itchy pen hand.

He's never there when the cage changes the rules to car vs. bike "pit maneuvers".

Either way...let it go. It's not like you get trophies or anything. But you get to ride again tomorrow.

I get irritated a slow drivers or like Saturday...on a two lane "highway", going 70. This goofball pulls onto the road and I have little time to react, so I end up passing him on the right, since there's cars coming. Stuff like that makes my blood boil.

That's good and all and one shouldn't risk a fine. But if it is traffic light drag races up to the speed limit, I'm game. Wouldn't take the challenge from a sports car on the Harley, but on the Ducati, no one challenges me.
