i'm either too tight and they hurt, or too loose they unravel

Amazing... some simple gear could have prevented that altogether.

Enjoy your pain OP. Hopefully you learned something from this experience.

I had the same thing back in 09 when I hit a deer. All I did was tried to keep fresh gauze on it with plenty of neosporin. Like you said, don't wrap it too tight and frequently clean it.

Yes, it's cold, but I have no sympathy. Everyone knows the risks of not wearing any gear.

My suggestion? Someone said leave it out in the open.... don't. Fact is that a covered wound will heal faster than an uncovered one; keep it clean as well. Tylenol will help with the pain.

Oh yeah... nothing that will stick to it either.

Rest assured, I will. I wear a DOT and Snell approved, properly fitting FF helmet.

it's the inside of your brain that's damaged , great way to think.

Insult me all you want, but you're the guy who chose to go out with no gear on, and now you're paying for it. If anyone has a damaged brain, it's you, and it happened before you took your spill. I'm not going to give you any sympathy because you know better; riding a motorcycle isn't about looking cool. I gave you advice to help your wounds heal faster and what to do and what not to do, because I've been in your situation before (high speed bicycle accident when younger). Take my advice or not, I don't care.
