Riding down to Louisville KY
Tomorrow morning I will head out to Louisville KY from North West NJ.
This is the second year my kids will be at the Expo Center for the National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) National Competition.
Their School is 8 time State Champions in the Middle School Division.
Thats Eight Years in a Row...
I rode last year and then left there for Bike Week at Myrtle Beach,
This year i will just ride there and back, but should be a great weekend anyhow.

Just another "good" reason to ride. I look for one every chance I get.
Oh and keep an eye on the weather. Forecasts show possibility of bad storms in that area tomorrow (evening I think).

OK so I did 830 miles on Thursday, I left in the rain 6:30AM and rode down into the Wilmington DE area where it cleared up nicely and I rode thru Maryland and then West Virginia into Kentucky. I arrived in Louisville at 10:30PM. The mountains and the ride were beautiful.
Relaxed on Friday then went to the Competition at the Expo Center Saturday Watched the team Kick ***, they did not take any awards home but they put up a good clean fight.
My daughter on the other hand Shot her Personal Best a 286 out of 300.
she ranked
23rd out of 2024 middle school girls
7th out of 740 7th grade girls
64th out of 4709 overall girls. Thats middle and high school
I couldn't be more Proud of my baby girl.
I left the Expo Center at around 3:30PM and rode 724 miles strait thru KY, OH, WV, PA and arrived home at 4:30 AM It was on and off rain all night but nothing major.
What a great trip.
Next is May 22 The wife will ride her bike with me and we are off to Niagara Falls.

My kind of trip. Nice going...and congrats to your daughter. I haven't been looking at the falls from your side, but they say, views are better on our side. Check it out if you have the time.

Glad to hear you didn't run into too much weather while down here. The forecast for severe weather and heavy rains never really materialized. Glad your daughter did well!
