There is a HD brand black leather vest for sale locally on CL with no patches. It has a slightly worn look to it but otherwise in good shape. Why would I buy a used vest in the first place? Well money of course. The new HD jackets and vests are kindof pricey. So what do you think a fair price would be for a used HD vest?

A good rule of thumb for Craigs List is 1/2 price of new...

 

Plus one on the half of new. It's worth it's weight in leather.

 

As with anything else, it's worth only as much as you are willing to pay for it.

Thanks for the response. The closest new HD vest that I can find is about 2-1/2 times what this person is asking. I think that I'll go for it.

That sounds right. Of course - some people would pay MORE than new - so they can ride their bike to an MC club party and try to fit in
Not calling you on this though, haha. Even I feel self conscious when I put on new leather.

 

Ha! Now if I can only find a three-piece patch set so that I can 'fly-my colors' for all the world to see complete with my mushroom-head DOT helmet.
