Default New bike need help with color decision

I'm considering buying a 2014 street glide special and I'm hoping some of you in here might be able to help me. I can't decide between the normal vivid black or if I should go for the denim. With the denim I'm mainly worried about how long the paint last and how much of a pain it might be to take care of. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have black denim. You never wax it and just wipe it with a soft cloth and Windex.

The main problem is, it something rubs it enough and it has to be a lot, it'll make a shiny spot. I have one on the right side of my tank from my chaps rubbing it. It's only noticeable if you look for it. And those spots can't be fixed.

Am I happy with it...absolutely.

Since you've chosen black, the real questions have to be.....

1: Do you like chrome??
2: Do you like spending a couple hours, or more, every week cleaning it??

IMO, chrome looks best with the Vivid Black. But Vivid Black shows every tiny speck of dust flying in the breeze. At a minimum, you'll be washing/polishing/waxing it often. At worst, you'll be dusting it off in between washing/polishing/waxing sessions.

IMO, Charcoal Pearl is the fastest Street Glide color.
What color is your Porsche 911?

Well ok, vivid black goes well with orange. They are the official HD colors.

get the Vivid. Denim is played out & "trendy". Looks unfinished. Vivid looks elegant. And, if you want the denim because it looks "badass", remember...you can't buy "badass" from the factory!

So I struggled over this forever...like two months. I visited dealers, had them pull out bikes, saw them under the sun, shade, moonlight....u get the picture. I video taped my top three colors: Red Whatever Sunglo, Blackened Whatever Cayenne, and Charcoal Pearl. At the end it also depends how you might customize it. I was planning on blacking it out and the Charcoal went best with what I was going to do. I also liked the Denim but it seemed like it would wear out and scratches/etc would show up and can't be buffed out and even touched up. Having said that I have seen a bunch of Denim bikes and it looks wonderful - so hope I didn't confuse you more, but video it and watch it over and over; it will click what color to go with.

Personally, I like the dark gray or burgundy colors on the SG/S. I would have a hard time choosing one.

My SG is vivid black and it looks sweet with chrome.
