Default HD Security System question

I just bought my Sportster XL1200T and am loving it. (I rode a Honda CB650 for years, but have been out of cycling for a very long time.) I just got the Harley home this week and I am learning about the bike. I had the standard HD $395 security system installed. Here is my issue:

I have the fob on the keyring, when I ride away, it initially says "No Fob" but then reverts to normal and there is no problem after that.

I have tried to set a custom PIN and I cannot get the thing into "change PIN" mode per the manual.

As far as I can tell my alarm has no siren. Is the siren not standard?

The red light blinks indicating a security system is installed and if I try to move the bike with no Fob around it flashes all the lights and gives quite a light show, so something is going on. Anyone have any ideas? I will probably take a spin to the dealer today and ask them about all this but I thought maybe I am just making some Noob mistake or other.

Well no siren is standard. As far as not getting into the security system if you are following the manual I have no idea.

The no fob would bother me. Did you change the battery in the fob?

Your $395 security system DOES NOT include the audible siren! That would cost you extra. My suggestion would be to purchase the smart siren WITH pager and install it yourself. Easy peezey!! I bought the remote pager - good for 1/2 mile?

As far as the "no fob" light goes, can't answer that. It sounds like it is operating correctly. The instructions for setting your own security code are in the owners manual. Keep the card provided for emergency no fob starting in your wallet. Security codes won't do you any good unless you know how to enter them!!

I would take it back to the installer and tell them to show you how to set it up.

The siren is plug and play, you can DIY and save installation costs.

Oh, they are not charging me and candidly I'd just as soon they did it since I am having my GPS put in anyway. I'm no good at that stuff.

I added my siren after the alarm because I have a carport not a garage. It's not going to stop a group of POS thieves but it might deture the amateurs.
