Twice a year they decent upon Florida and cause a giant mess and ruin many a good ride. If you don't know what love bugs are consider yourself lucky.

Pretty damn obvious that folks who haven't had the pleasure of dealing with them don't have a clue! Snuck out for about 60 miles this morning and the windshield and lowers are covered....

And it's amazing that as many that are killed they keep coming back. Heard the best thing to help clean the mess is wipe down all surfaces with Pam cooking spray, that's what we used to do back in the day.

The only pleasure during love bug season is knowing that every one splattered on your vehicle is 100-350 less new ones. I love seeing big rig box trailers the fronts are covered with the bastards.

Actually, PAM is not a good idea. It can harm your paint and possibly "cook" the bugs into your paint worse.
The best plan is to have a really good wax and polish job on your ride, and maybe a thin coat of baby oil or silicone spray if going through heavy and/or extended periods of bugs. Remove the oil/silicone and any stuck bugs asap.
