Default it finally happened - wallet gone

Well it finally happened. I didn't have my chain and my wallet went flying. retraced my path later and did happen to find my drivers license so that was lucky I guess.

Man......I have a horror of losing my wallet so that's why I went the route of a chain wallet. Only place I don't wear it is to church on Sunday morning.

At least you found one of....in my opinion....the hardest things to replace. Best of luck to you!

That's why I went to a money clip in my front pocket. My wallet only carries business cards and receipts.

I had a chain wallet in the 70s...I actually still have it...and I wasn't going to get another one but worrying about losing it made me decide to go ahead and get one. I figured my boss, who likes to BS people, would mess with me but he hasn't yet. Now, I'm worry free.

One benefit is, I can't leave my wallet in my jeans to be washed, which I've done a few times.

If some of the people on here ever saw you with that chain wallet, they surely will refer to you as a wanna be, pirate, weekend warrior, or whatever their ignorant minds come up with. Me, I call anyone riding a bike with a chain on their wallet a sensible biker that knows how to keep his stuff from getting lost.

Money in my front pants pocket - small billfold with "paperwork" in it always in a zipped or buttoned pocket. Haven't lost either of them yet. I have a buddy who carries his wallet and phone in his back pants pockets and I'm amazed that he's never lost them.

I'll be honest, all I think about when I see someone riding with a chain wallet is how easy it would be to scratch paint/chrome or get caught on something.

I've thought about this too and have on several occasions, tucked the chain into my pocket.

I have the wallet on one side of the chain, and my keys on the other. Wallet goes in the back pocket, the keys and remaining chain in front. No loose chain to scratch anything. Bonus is very hard to misplace keys, since tied to easy to see wallet
