Default Got my jacket custom painted

Thanks to a local FB bike group, I found an artist 5 minutes from my house who did this for me.

I gave her a bunch of images with ideas and she came up with this.

Thought you guys might like to see it.

She put some sort of a clear coat over it that you can't see. The paint is meant for leather.

She made it look weathered and antiqued on purpose. It's only about a month old but I don't see any wear yet.

That looks great. Much better than a patch.

How did you find someone to do that? It's not like tattoo shops, listed in the Yellow Pages.

We have a NJ Biker/Ride group page on Facebook and I just asked if anyone knew anyone that painted jackets. No joke, in under a minute, someone told me about this lady and she emailed me two minutes later. I got lucky. She was also five minutes away.

That being said, if anyone is interested I can give you Lisa's number/email. You could ship her your item and she can go back and forth with you via emailed pictures.

She draws it on paper first and then uses chalk to sketch it on the jacket before paint and you approve along the way.

I thought it was really inexpensive versus the quality of the job.

She posted a photo of the completed jacket back on the FB page to show everyone. I was at a local bar that a lot of bikers hit on the weekends and it was on the back of my chair and a few people recognized it from seeing it on FB. Go figure...
