Pushing the limits of a fuel tank
So I wasn't paying too much attention to my fuel gauge and I needed gas so I made a few side trips on my way to the gas station. The good station with ethanol free gas. I put 5.665 gals in my '13 ultra classic. Do you think I was a little low? Happy riding.

I put 5.2 gallons in my 5 gallon tank a few years ago on the way back from Sturgis at the only gas station in that town. I was as nervous as a preist at a cub scout meeting.

Yup been there before, I finally purchased one of those saddlebag gas cans after one of the guys I ride with ran out one day.

Has anyone gotten 6 gal in a 6 gal tank? Had it sucking air a couple times but have only been able to get in about 5.3 gals.

Try shaking the Ultra a little when you gas up - you'd be surprised that almost another gallon fits when it looks full to the brim.

Last year heading home from Myrtle Beach on a barren SC low country highway I noticed I was running low then the yellow light comes on. The pucker factor elevates when I don't see a thing in sight but spanish moss and state prisons. Finally fueled up near I-95 and put in just over 5 gallons. After that episode I bought a 1 gallon saddlebag fuel can.

$3.63 for a gallon of non-ethanol premium is a pretty good price in this day. Around here it's $4.00 and I thought we were the cheapest in the country. I guess not!
