Default Apes install

Planning to swap the mini apes off my street bob to a 14in burly narrows, I believe cables and wires are long enough, I want to try and do the swap myself. Can someone shed some light on what needs to be done? Just want to double check if I'm doing the swap correctly or not lol

If your cables and wires and brake line are all long enough, it should be about a 15 minute job. Take off your controls, take off old bars, put on new bars, put controls back on...done. My guess is, that you may have to lengthen your brake line...but maybe not.

But, if I were you, I'd consider running the wiring through the bars. Still not a big deal, but will require more time. You can get bars that are already predrilled, then you'll need a little tool (JP cycles has them) to take the pins out of the connecter (probably under your tank, if that's how they still build 'em). This is not necessary, but it's one of those little things that make a BIG difference, particularly on apes.
