sena bluetooth
I would like to find a good way for my wife and I to communicate while riding, without screaming at each other. I looked at the sena bluetooth system and it looks pretty good. Need to decide between the SMH10 and the SMH10R. Or is there something better out there. Anyone use either one of these? I use a fullface helmet and her's is a 3/4. Thanks.

Me and a buddy have been using the smh10 for about a year. Probably the best bluetooth intercom on the market.
You can pair it to your phone, Gps and another smh10 all at the same time.
I usually listen to music on my phone while riding but am able talk to my buddy or use the phone also.
It works.

Love the SMH10. Had it for about 2 years now, use it with the wife. Talked my dad and mom, and uncle/aunt into getting this as well, no issues from any of them reported. All of us wear full face helmets, so no help with noise otherwise.
I dont often take calls, but a couple weeks ago I was doing about 80 down the highway and my sister called me, talked for a bit, and she had no problem hearing me, said road noise wasnt too bad, and all worked well.
This was on a metric v-twin, with windshield, and relatively loud pipes.

I have a Cardo Scala Rider Q3 setup in our FF helmets. Works great! Includes indpendent FM radio receivers in each headset and pairs to other Bluetooth devices. Well worth the, not insignificant, cost.

Another thumbs-up for SENA.
I have really gotten used to using the clamp/boom that has a 1/8" jack as the only output. Any earbud-type earspeakers will plug in, and if you use a sound-isolating type, the sound is nearly unaffected by wind noise.
Phone calls are clear, music can be listened to at lower volumes, and wind noise is about the same as wearing earplugs.
All the best,
Shane

My smh10 works great. Plenty loud, decent tone for music, and phone calls sound good at freeway speed with a fullface. With my half helmet, I can hear my wife nag me over the phone, but she can't hear me so well above 40 or 50.
