Default Motorcycle enthusiast claims Harley voided warranty over American flag

No clue if this has been posted yet. If so, read it again.

If they deny him warranty because of the flag, side cars and trailers would be voiding factory warranty too, wouldn't it?
Or...some overweight guy...or a overweight guy with his overweight wife,,,,or, or, or. Whats your opinion?
Would this guy not have any warranty if he bought a new bike either?

Seems petty on their part but it's their ball and they can make up the rules as they go along. Maybe he should trying a legal option.

OTOH, they should extend a lifetime unlimited warranty to him for riding the heck out of his HD bikes. There's some good advertising to be had there.

HD would have gotten some huge positive publicity if they would just said the mounts and the numeroous flags caused the problem, but since you donated your bike to the museum we'll cover the work. Handling it like that doesn't make it look so much like favoritism. A corporate twinkie made a bad call and missed an opportunity to do good.

Yep, definitely turned their back on a golden opportunity turning it into a turdbowl. Someone should lose their job over that decision.

So if I ride with my cut unbuttoned and it creates a little more wind drag, would that void my warranty, if I had one, too?

I love the way companies like the Co. use any excuse to screw someone over.

I'm surprised they have any warranty on their bikes at all!

Don't know about a sidecar but pulling a trailer is not recommended and would probably void the warranty.

A warranty is supposed to cover a manufacturing defect. Is there a defect when you burn up your clutch because you have SEVEN large flags causing increased drag and causing premature wear on the drive train? I don't think so. Harley is right. Denied.

That's bs. Never take your bike to the dealership. There are indi shops that are harley certified warrantee shops that will treat you better and get better work usually quicker. My bikes never see a dealership after they leave the doors
