Ever Had You Bell Swiped?
I turned 60 last Friday. My daughter got me a very nice silver "gremlin bell". I was out in the shop. I looked at my Valkryie. It had a bell on it. I say. It "had" a bell on it. Not any more. Had it on a zip tie attached to the front brake steel cross over line. No way I think it could have broke off. Any thing can happen. It is a Jap bikee. Some one might have saw it and said" I like that. I am going to take it.Any way. I put the bell my daughter gave me on my 1964 DuoGlide. Had it since 1974. If I catch any SOB stealing the bell off of it I will slit their throat. I apoligize for the poor picture quality. That is the best OLD 96 could.do.fiURL=http://s487.photobucket.com/user/woodsmoke_bucket/media/IMG_4881-1.jpg.html][/URL]

Not connected. Sadie was a one time thing. That was all taken care of. They are gone. Have been for a while. They cannot and am not willing to get close to me. I only ride the Valk to work and back home. It stays locked up in the shop with the rest of my stuff. I don't know. Maybe it did fall off. I have no enemies that I know of. Am guessing some one wanted it.

I dont know dude. Im leaning toward it fell off. granted Zip ties are pretty strong but they are plastic after all. If someone did steal it they have no idea of what it is. Im thinking with the bell, if you steal it, its gotta be bad luck. Superstitions and bikes go hand in hand.

I don't know. Zip tie to a steel line with a what? .01 oz. bell attached to it. For my peace of mind? It fell off.

That is what most likely happened. Maybe I should start a thread. "How Do You Attache Your Bell?" But. That is probably all ready here in a stickie. No big deal. **** happens. Just was wondering if it had happened to any one else.

I've opened up more than one package and had the locking tabs break off as soon as they were pulled tight.
If you get another, use a wire tie/garbage bag tie to attach it instead. I always save the little black plastic coated wire ties that hold power cords together in the package when you buy electronics. They are perfect for jobs like this.
