Removing DOT stickers, nothing works!

Removing DOT stickers, nothing works!
I bling helmets and have to remove the DOT stickers on the back in order to put the bling designs there.
I just got a new shipment of helmets and they have changed the sticker to something that is now IMPOSSIBLE to remove!
All my usual tricks don't work at all: heat gun, vegetable oil, WD40. These are the strangest stickers... flat matte and if you try to peel them they break into tiny tiny shards. It takes me almost an hour of carefully picking at it with my fingernnail to get all the shards removed. Heat gun doesn't do a thing, oil doesn't do a thing.
Anyone have any tricks that might work on this type of sticker? I'm so ticked off at this change.

Yep, I second COAC's idea, you'll be able to sell them to all the 50 states then, I think a helmet might be illegal without the DOT sticker, not sure because Fl doesn't force us to wear helmets. Bling the DOT.

Around these parts, not having a DOT sticker constitutes "probable cause" for a traffic "stop and search". Why would you want to encourage that?

They're using what's called destructible vinyl. It's used for warning/void stickers so they cannot be removed easily. I've never tried it on that type of vinyl but this might make it a little easier. http://www.mbxit.com/products/mbx-vinyl-zapper-c-9.html I use it on Pelican Cases, not sure what damage it might do to the finish of a helmet.

Lighter fluid? That's an old trick, so that might not work either. I concur with what others have said, though. No sticker and they risk a ticket. Bling around it or make it part of your design, if possible.
