Default 2nd bike dilemma.

Hello all, I am in a position where I can get a second bike. My local dealer has a 2007 Night Train, with V&H pipes, A/C, custom chrome wheels and an inverted front end, with 37k miles, for 15k OTD. I am also liking the Sportster 48 in the candy volcanic orange that bad boy is 12.5k OTD. Although I have a 14 street glide special, I do miss having a smaller bike where I can just get on it and go for a putt around town. Any input or opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance, have a Happy Memorial day weekend and remember this weekend when your out riding , those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy the simple things like going out riding whenever we choose to.

If you can afford two bikes, I envy you. I can barely afford one. And I'd love to ride around town on a '14 SG. Those bikes are awesome looking.

Well I am blessed with a good paying job, and have no wife or kids that would drain my wallet faster than a Harley would.

Well, if I didn't have a wife/second income, there's no way I could afford my bike. Or half the stuff we have.

In my opinion, two bikes is a great way to go. I happen to have three. My 09 SG was a purchase for me from my Mother's estate. I smile and thank her every time I throw my leg over it. Then I have an 06 883. It seems that my son has taken possession of that, so I just picked up a 1993 Heritage. Bike has 15K miles on it, and I bought it from the original owner who babied it.

I think a second bike is great, but I don't think you need to spend the kind of money you are talking about here. I got my sporty for 3K, and I pick up the Heritage for 5K. There are great deals out there. I think you can find another bike at a much better price. But, if you can afford it, go for it.

And thank you for your service. I appreciate the sacrifices you and your brothers and sisters in arms have made so my family and I can live in the Greatest Country in the world.

Stay safe.

That seems pretty steep for that Night train to me..... For a second bike I'd look for a street bob or something like that. You could pick one up for 10k easy.

The Night Train is way over priced. Keep looking. It is great to have a cruiser type bike to go along with a tourer. SJ Ron

I love my Ultra, but I enjoy jumping on my wife's Slim and going for a ride. Wouldn't want to ride it 300 miles though!
