Default URGENT.....ADVICE please??

Suddenly got a choice..... 2002 FLHTP
or 2006 FLHTP

The former has 20K miles and two-up saddle

The latter has 8500 miles and solo seat.

Price difference is 3,000

.????????? Any preferences?

Default Tranny issues?

Thanks to you both.....

In the midst of the uncertainty......laughter! Although I do think he meant "transmission" issues. Hahaha

My 1985 FLHT/P was the best touring bike I have ever owned. Well, over very long distances, able to cover 1000 mile days easily.
Tried the same with a Honda ST, then a BMW and neither allows any riding position other than the norm.....

The FLHT/P had the boards, the crash bar-feet-straight-forwards, or backwards!

Wasn't '02 the last year for the good crank? Other than that, I'd think the '06, being 4 years newer with fewer miles, is the way to go.

Default Go for the 02 FLHT

I got an 02 FLHTC and its a great ride but then so is the 06. The $3k will put gear drive cams, a radio and amp with 6.5s and then all you have to do is hang on. No diff in the 02 and 06 and nobody can tell by looks.

Is that you riding YOUR Police Special? Thanks for the response. Scottish HD friend suggested that the 2002 was one of the "best years".....

There's a huge difference 02 still had a Timken crank bearing and they still gave a fug what the run out tolerance was.
