Default Got hit but very lucky

Following my boyfriend this evening about 6pm and we made a turn into a narrow road with a paved median. To our left was a car trying to do a U turn over the median just before she got to the stop light. We both saw her, she paused and let my boyfriend through but didn't see me. At this point I was parallel to her and she's coming right at me. I can't stop because she's going to U turn right into me so I had no choice but to open the throttle and hope I can get out of her way.

I almost made it, I felt her car bump my bike but it was a very light bump so no problem keeping the bike up. I pulled up in front of her, got off the bike and went complete nuts screaming and yelling at this young kid.

We pulled into an adjacent parking lot and I checked the bike over. The only damage was a broken left signal lens. When I finally calmed down and stopped shaking she gave me some cash to cover the lens and we all went off on our ways. Definitely a lucky escape.

Yes it does sound like you were lucky, glad it wasn't any worse than just a broken signal lens. I have run into boneheads like that around here so I know how you feel.

You are one of the smart ones not to use your brakes and to get on the throttle to get the hell out. Good job!

Smart rider, great job on the near escape. Glad it's not worse for you or the scoot.
