Default Installed a new D402 with ride on gel,...

We'll I was pretty much forced to chose between a D402 or a Metzeller 888 so I stuck with Dunlop...took a ride last night and that thing is smooth as silk....I had one that came with the bike and one more at 11000 miles or so but haven't tried another one....Will see how it goes , it's been like 6 years or so since I used one so I have an open mind again. I did install it with about 10 ounces of ride on tire sealant and balancing gel, no weights, and it was very quiet and smooth with 40 lbs psi.

About 6 weeks ago, I added Ride On to my tires. I mainly did it for the sealant part of it, since we put 15k on the bike last year. The thought of having tire trouble, away from the house, is not something I want to go through. It's given me a good feeling, whether it's real or not, that the tires are protected.

I also took the weights off of the rims but I'm wondering what will remove the glue and not the paint.

Try a hair dryer....get it good and hot and peel it off.

I got 11k out of my stock dunlop. Switch it out probably 1k mile to soon, but was going on a long ride and didn't want to get to close. My current Dunlop has 9k on it being 95% city diving and hot on the throttle most of the time. I probably got about another thousand left. I run 36 PSI with dyna beads.

I had a piece of wire in my rear tire 2 years ago. pulled it out and had a pinhole leak. Put Ride-On in a ran tire over a year with it. I removed the weight and tire was well balanced. In March of this year, when I replaced the tire, the jell was the same as it was when I put in in. No mess.

I had my new tire balanced before i got the rideon in it, so i cant say from personal experience, but plenty of others dont bother with the weights and have reported very good results with just rideon in it. Just make sure you add the proper amount for your size tire. A calculator is on there website
Just want to say that i love this stuff.....had a nail sticking out of it ( dont know for how long) and never lost pressure
