Rolling Thunder
I'll admit that I'm not normally one for "nose-to-tail pony rides" with a bunch of riders who I don't know, but at 11:30 last night I decided to do the Rolling Thunder ride today. Glad I did. Rode down to the Pentagon with a big group from an HD dealership in Maryland...all went well...weather was perfect.
The ride around the mall was very cool. People from every walk of life looking on...waving flags... I'll never forget the image of the grizzled, old, gentleman (veteran?) standing all alone on the south side of Constitution Ave. saluting us as we rode by. Of the thousands of people lining the route, I'll never forget the look on his face and the sad stare in his eyes. I'll be back next year...with my wife and sons...
In remembrance...

I was there too. Awesome experience. Arrived at the Pentagon at 7:30. Bikes started rolling at 12:00. I started moving at 1:30. Then 25 minutes around the mall. Worth every minute.
